Hatha yoga

A little bit about Hatha yoga

Hatha yoga is a beautiful practice connecting breath, mind and body. It is about giving you the tools to bring balance into all aspects of your life, not just while on your mat.

Who are my yoga classes for?

Yoga is for everyone, it was always intended for everyone and I’m really passionate about continuing to spread that message.

It doesn’t matter how flexible or strong you are or how still you can be in a meditation, yoga is not a competition. It's about giving yourself the freedom to move and grow in many ways.

Most people (me included) come into it for one reason and find many more reasons to fall in love with it.

In all classes I offer subtle modifications throughout so they're  ideal for beginners and beyond.

The most important thing for me is to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel you can come and  try yoga at a pace that suits you. There’s no judgement and no expectations and absolutely never any pressure.

What to expect at my yoga classes

Each week I will I guide you through a flow, focusing on the breath alongside the different yoga postures. I hope to create unison between them, centring the mind so you’re able to work on distancing yourself from the mental chatter life brings.

We will work closely with the seasons and natural cycles, including of course the lunar cycle. These will bring a subtle energy to the classes and tune into the ebb and flow of the rhythm of nature.

We will involve mudras (sacred hand gestures) Pranayama (guided breathing techniques) and the philosophy behind yoga so you can feel the deep connection yoga can bring to all aspects of your life.

What you'll get out of my yoga classes

You’ll leave my classes feeling like you’ve moved your body, building strength and flexibility, but hopefully with a sense of peace and calm.

What should I bring to a yoga class?

Come in comfortable clothes which give you freedom to move.

Bring some water for refreshment, especially if warm.

A few layers of clothes are good to have options as you warm up, some bring a blanket for the relaxation at the end.

If you have a yoga mat then great, I have a few spare if needed).
